Injection Molding Simulation on iPhone cases
For a better understanding of polymer manufacturing by simulating an injection mold process using CAE software (Moldex3D), an iPhone case suitable for injection molding were selected, considering the widespread market application to smartphone users, and a personal interest in the potential use of product. A manufacturing process for which this part can be created was designed, including material selection, optimization of the gate/runner system, and appropriate selection and evaluation of the process conditions.
